EQUINIX is a world market leader in providing network neutral data centre/collocation services.

The Frankfurt North data centre was opened in 2005 and was designed specifically as a data centre building with meeting and office space. The network connectivity is provided by Equinix's own IP network, as well as 4 major carriers with own fibre to the building and 7 other carriers delivering services via Meet Me Room. Every system within the data centre is monitored and controlled from the onsite control room maintained 24/7/365 by Equinix technicians.

UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SYSTEM

• Utility power: 24MVA power provision through three diverse routes, with 2,5 and 2 MVA transformers on site (n+1 configuration)
• Backup power: 2.2 MVA diesel generators with enough fuel to carry the facility at full load for 72 hours
• UPS: Rotary UPS systems at n+1 configuration

INDUSTRIAL-GRADE AIR CONDITIONING

• The air conditioning system configured at 120% over capacity and N+1 built-in redundancy.
• Multiple compressors, circuits and pumps for each cooling unit.
• Indoor temperature at 20-22 C and relative humidity at 50%rH +-15%

PROTECTION AND SECURITY

• Strictly controlled access with manned security on-site around the clock
• CCTV camera systems for 24/7 video surveilance
• Motion detectors
• Multi-stage security filtration systems for visitors, including biometric palm scanners and security swipe cards

PRODUCTION SERVERS

Our servers are specially designed for our hosting environment. Built with the most reliable server components, they are with 2x Quad-core Xeon processors, 8 GB RAM and RAID 6 disk arrays. The hot-swappable HDDs, power supply units and cooling fans allow repairs/replacement of these components while the machine stays online. This design brings the hardware reliability to the highest level.

SPARE SERVERS

We keep a spare/standby server in each server rack. If a production server fails, it will be immediately replaced by a spare server, and the latest backup will be restored. This way Q7Host can offer you a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
