If you compare hosting offers on the Internet, you may notice that there are companies which offer terabytes of disk space and traffic on a shared hosting server, or even "unlimited space" or "unlimited traffic". We have received many questions why our offers are relatively narrow, compared to the so-called "gigahosts/unlimited hosts".
The important issue to mind here is that the hosting service is not just a sum of space and traffic. When choosing your hosting provider, you must have in mind not only the plan features, but aspects such as server reliability, level of support, company background and financial stability - these aspects are not always visible on the site of the company, and you might have to dig further on the Internet to find such information.
How are these "unlimited" offers possible?
1. Overselling - many companies tend to oversell the resources they have, with the presumption that not all customers use all the resources of their hosting accounts. This practice is dangerous, especially when the overselling ratio is very high - hundreds of times. This may degrade the level of the service, or it may even lead to situations in which customers cannot use the resources of their hosting accounts.
2. Every resource is limited in some way. Companies that offer unlimited resources find other ways to limit their customers. For example, such a limit could be the number of the allowed files on the account, content limitations (such as the space which can be occupied by media), or a restriction that all files on the account must be related to the site. Usually these restrictions are added to company policies with a small print. In such cases, the "unlimited" offer is simply a marketing trick to attract customers.
As per our offers - we do not need to oversell, and we do not need to make "marketing tricks" to attract new customers. We are well aware that the best way to attract customers is to offer a service of an exemplary quality, by buying the best hardware and hiring the best professionals. As we make no compromises with the level of our service, our existing customers stay with us and constantly recommend our services to their friends and on the Internet. Thus they bring new customers to us, without us having to make any "tricks".
We do not offer "unlimited space", but what we can guarantee is that each of our customers receives 100% of the resources purchased, at the highest possible level of service.
